Processing times for planning applications are currently running with a 5/7 working day delay before we can start validating new applications. To focus resources on validation, we will not be responding to any requests for progress updates until we have had the application for 7 working days. We’re doing our best to process applications as fast as possible, and we appreciate your patience.
Elevations
What to include
Existing and proposed elevations should show the proposed works in relation to what is already there. Show the proposed building materials and the style, materials and finish of the doors and windows.
Where a proposed elevation adjoins or is close to another building, show the relationship of the 2 buildings, and the positions of the openings on each property.
Where an application is made for retrospective permission pre-existing elevations will be required.
Existing and proposed elevations should be at a scale of 1:100, showing the paper size and a scale bar.
You can view some examples of elevation diagrams to include in your application for guidance.
For substantial 2 storey extensions or extensive roof alterations, please include photographs showing the relationship to adjoining or adjacent properties.
Give your drawing a logical name or title.
