How do I report the removal of an historic street light or paving?
The designation of a conservation area does not provide any additional protection to street lighting or paving surfaces where these are the responsibility of the council. Some street lights are statutory listed buildings and do benefit from protection. Some other historic street lights are locally listed but this does not give them any additional legal protection. Any concerns about the removal of street lights or changes to paving surfaces should be reported via Street Lighting or Pavement and Road Repairs.
