Brighton & Hove’s Cycle to Work Day – 7 August 2025
This summer, join hundreds of people across Brighton & Hove in celebrating Cycle to Work Day on Thursday, 7 August 2025.
Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just thinking about giving it a go, our Cycle to Work Day is the perfect opportunity to hop on your bike, enjoy the fresh air, and experience the many benefits of commuting on two wheels.
Why you should cycle to work
Cycling to work isn’t just good for your health – it’s great for your wallet, your wellbeing, and the planet. Here’s why more people are choosing pedal power:

How to get involved
- Pledge a ride to a family member, friend or colleague and cycle to work.
- Encourage your colleagues to take part – the more, the merrier.
- Share your ride on social media.
- Check your bike – make sure it’s road-ready with a quick safety check.

What’s going on
Win a cycle repair stand for your workplace
Take a photo of yourself and two work colleagues cycling into work on Cycle to Work Day, send it to transport.projects@brighton-hove.gov.uk for your chance to win one of two cycle repair stands for your workplace.
Bike Breakfasts
On Thursday 7 August, between 8am to 10:30am:
- Carat’s Café is offering free coffee and pastries to people cycling into work - Bike Boom will also be attending to help with minor bike repairs or maintenance
- Lost in the Lanes on Nile Street is offering free drinks and pastries to people cycling to work
- Fika at The Sea Lanes on Madeira Drive is offering a free coffee and a flapjack to people cycling to work

Beryl BTN Cycle to Work Day Offer
Summer is the perfect time to change your routine and enjoy the journey, not just the destination. With longer days and warmer weather, we're encouraging Beryl riders to take the scenic route this Cycle to Work Day and ride more sustainably.
At Beryl, we're giving away 10 free minutes of riding on Thursday, 7 August. Riders just need to open the Beryl app or go to their inbox on the day to find their code and claim their reward.
And that’s not all, based on how users interact with the offer, we’ll be sending out some bonus rewards over the weekend, including another chance to claim 10 minutes free or a 10% discount on 100 Minute Bundles to keep them in the saddle.
