How to sign up for the care leavers bus pass scheme
Register your interest
The pilot will be starting in September. If you think you’re eligible and haven’t already opted in, you can register your interest by completing a short survey.
At the end of the survey, you’ll be asked to share a few details so we can check your eligibility and contact you about the offer.

What happens next
Once you’ve completed the survey, the care support team will check your eligibility based on the criteria above.
You’ll be contacted to let you know whether or not you are eligible. If you are not eligible, we’ll explain why.
If you are eligible, you’ll receive further information before September explaining how your bus pass will be issued and what you need to do. This will depend on the ticket you choose:
- A Stagecoach pass (routes 17 and 700 only), or
- A citySAVER pass valid on Brighton & Hove Buses, Compass Travel and Metrobus services
